Rules Change Roadshow Visits Moakley Courthouse

Big changes in discovery and case management practices took effect Dec. 1, 2015 under new Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. The Litigation Section of the American Bar Association brought its Rules Amendments Roadshow to Boston this month as part of an 18-city tour.

The topic Hello “Proportionality,” Goodbye “Reasonably Calculated” attracted over 100 guests, including judges, litigators and other legal community members to the Moakley U.S. Courthouse. Nutter McClennan & Fish attorneys Kenneth Berman, Cynthia Guizzetti and Christopher Lindstrom served as regional chairs.

O’Brien & Levine had a big supporting role. Our court reporters and staff prepared the transcript of the presentations and panel discussion delving into the implications of the amendments for civil litigation.
